KS win 33 years old retirement decision Coach new start

After graduating from Daegu High School, Chung joined LG in 2009. He played in 762 games in the main league so far this year, recording 18 homers, 153 RBIs, 260 runs and 68 steals.

Jeong Ju-hyeon, who was included in the Korean Series entry held in November, played as a first baseman in the top of the ninth inning with a 15-3 lead in Game 4 of the Korean Series. He didn't have a chance to bat, but he has also stepped on the Korean Series stage.

After shedding tears at the scene where LG won the Korean Series title for the first time in 29 years, Chung decided to retire after consulting with his club. After 15 years of experience, he now has a Korean Series trophy and continues to wear LG uniforms as his coach. Cha Myung-seok, the team's general manager, recently mentioned Chung at a beer party with LG fans to commemorate his unification of the championship. He replied to a question from a fan about Chung's position.

"Jung Joo-hyun will retire and start as a leader," Cha said. "The position has not been decided yet, but Jung wants to be a batting coach. He wants to be a batting coach without thinking about what his overall batting average is. ... I'm thinking of coaching baserunning or defending," he said wittily.

In early December, Chung shared his decision to retire and how he felt about starting over as a coach on his SNS account. "Hello, LG Twins fans. I'm Chung Ju-hyun, a former LG Twins player. I'm a little late in greeting you," Chung said. "First of all, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for your so much interest and love over the past 15 years. At the end of this season, I will decide to retire as a coach and start the second act of my life as a leader. It was such a difficult time to decide, but I decided to continue wearing LG Twins uniforms, not other team uniforms," he reported on his retirement.

"For me, that's what the LG Twins are. It was an honor to play with the TWINS mark on my chest for the past 15 years. I am so happy and grateful to continue to play with the TWINS mark on my chest. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the club officials for giving me this opportunity."

Chung Ju-hyun said, "I joined the LG Twins at the end of the dark ages in 2009 and was able to grow and meet good teachers for the first time in 29 years in 2023 and play baseball happily. I met good teams and learned a lot from them. I met good friends and had fun playing baseball and even won the championship. I was so happy and it was an unforgettable memory."

Finally, Jeong said, "Now our No. 1 LG Twins fans. Regardless of my grades, our LG Twins fans have always been the best! Thank you so much. Thank you so much! I will be a good leader from now on! Take care of your health in the cold weather. Thank you."

Since his debut, Chung has not played in many games in the primary league. He had one home run, one RBI and two runs scored in six games in 2009, two hits, two RBIs and one stolen base in eight games in 2010, three hits, two RBIs, six runs and two steals from 18 times at bat in 15 games in 2011, and four hits, one RBI, five runs and four steals from 23 times at bat in 18 games in 2012. When he failed to establish himself in the primary league, he attempted to change his position from infielder to outfielder.

In 2013, he played in 61 games and recorded a batting average of 2,17 percent 18 hits in 83 times at bat with 21 RBIs, 21 runs and 10 steals. He also performed his duties as a pinch runner with mobility. He returned after completing his military service between 2014 and 2015. Chung had a batting average of 222 percent 50 hits in 225 times at bat, 22 RBIs, 30 runs and five steals in 99 games in 2016, but he had no hits and no steals in eight times at bat in 15 games in 2017.

Chung Ju-hyun, who received the opportunity, secured the starting position by displaying stable performance in offense and defense. In 2018, he played in 115 games and recorded a batting average of 261 percent 79 hits in 303 times at bat, six homers, 31 RBIs, 48 runs and 18 steals, the best performance since his debut. For the first time, he played in more than 100 games this season and recorded more than 300 at-bats.

Chung was the starting second baseman until 2020. In 2019, he recorded a batting average of 231 percent 87 hits in 376 times at bat with two homers, 27 RBIs, 53 runs and 15 stolen bases in 129 games. Ahead of the 2020 season, LG recruited veteran Jung Geun-woo in the second draft to strengthen its second baseman position. Chung also won the competition in good faith with Jung. He recorded a batting average of 247 percent 81 hits in 328 times at bat, four homers, 30 RBIs, 50 runs and eight steals in 134 games.

In the 2022 season, LG recruited a foreign hitter to take the position of second baseman. He managed a foreign hitter and Seo Geon-chang as second basemen, and Chung did not play a single game for the first team last year. Yeom Kyung-yeop, who took the helm of LG ahead of this season, used Chung as his backup for infield from the beginning of the season. Chung played in 89 games, posting a batting average of 273 percent 24 hits from 88 times at bat, one homerun, 12 RBIs, 17 runs scored and one stolen base, and confidently won the Korean Series title. 토토사이트 추천
